Did freelance illustration. Became a member of the Society of Illustrators — 1st woman to go on the Air Force painting program at [University of Illinois?]. They separated in 1961 and Roy moved to Connecticut \u0026amp; freelanced in New York City. A well known cartoonist\/illustrator for books, magazines \u0026amp; advertising and especially for children's books for Random House and Dr. Seuss — Beginner Books.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe met at the Society of Illustrators in Feb. of 1963. Roy divorced in 1963.
