June Reynard left Erie, Pa. in 1947 and went with the Tomlinson family in Swarthmore, Pa. 1949 went to design school in Chicago, Ill. 1950 came to N.Y. City and attended art school. Worked for Vogue Pattern Book in 1952. 1953 taught art school in N.J. 1954 lived & freelanced in Europe. 1955 returned to N.Y.C. and lived in Greenwich Village. Did freelance illustration. Became a member of the Society of Illustrators — 1st woman to go on the Air Force painting program at [University of Illinois?]. We traveled widely — to South America — up the Amazon — all over Europe — Greece and Turkey.

Roy Albert McKie Jr.
Born Oct. 8, 1922, Boston, Mass.Roy Albert McKie Jr. attended art school in Boston & worked in Boston. Married Lois Barwood and had 2 children, Tod and Dave. They moved to New Hope, Pa. and Roy worked in Philadelphia for N.W. Ayer Advertising. They separated in 1961 and Roy moved to Connecticut & freelanced in New York City. A well known cartoonist/illustrator for books, magazines & advertising and especially for children's books for Random House and Dr. Seuss — Beginner Books.
We met at the Society of Illustrators in Feb. of 1963. Roy divorced in 1963. We were married in Feb. 1964 and lived at 75 Perry St. in Greenwich Village and had a studio at 271 West 11 St.
1966 took freighters — went to Iceland. 1985 bought a house at 1644 Old Clinton Rd., Flemington, N.J. 1989 left New York City. We love being in the country!
